WORKetc 2.5 is Live

I’m pretty chuffed, relieved yet exhausted, to announce that we went live with WORK[etc] 2.5 last week. Chuffed because it represents a pretty major update to the usability of the application as a whole. Relieved because our current users are loving it and exhausted because it was a lot of work (but definitely worth it).

Here are some real life comments from WORK[etc] 2.0 users who were upgraded to version 2.5:

“WORK[etc] 2.5 looks great and I very much appricate the free upgrade.”

“The new system is GREAT! Thank you for ALL of these changes. It is like light-years of improvements.”

“We are loving the update. The interface is snappier and importantly for us we can simply create a project from a sales lead!”

WORK[etc] 2.5 is now available to all new customers and all existing customers have been upgraded.

All up we documented 193 changes, the most significant being subtle usability changes and a massive overhaul to sales automation, projects and billing.

We don’t plan on stopping at v2.5 either. Over the next few months we have a number of additional UI changes to roll out; these are really subtle changes that by themselves will hardly be noticed, but in combination result in a universally intuitive interface.  A more detailed list of changes can be found here.

There’s not a lot WORKetc can’t do when it comes to managing a small business, what with its built-in CRM, project management, billing, timesheets, and customer support modules. It’s an entire business management ecosystem unto itself without even plugging in any additional third-party apps. We do recognize, however, that some businesses have their own app […]

How to Win That Elusive “Yes” for Your Sales Quotes and Proposals

If first contact with a sales lead is like a first date, then sending out a sales quote would be the equivalent of getting down on one knee and proposing. Now, putting your best foot forward on that first date is just the start. If you want to get a “yes”, you better be ready […]

How To Sell Your Team On A New CRM—And Keep It From Failing

No business really gets started until something gets sold, whether it’s a product or a service. And get this—when you’re an entrepreneur, it’s not just potential customers that you need to convince to buy in. From time to […]

Every Minute Counts: 3 Ways Time Tracking Helps Your Bottom Line

Five minutes. That’s how long I spend on my email inbox at the start of my day, every day. I used to get easily distracted, sometimes spending upwards of half an hour just going through my email. And by “going through” I do mean just reading them. No replying, no creating tasks. It was a […]

Don’t Use a Driver When You’re in a Sand Trap: Boosting Growth with Automated Tags

Small business marketing is a bit like golf. You don’t use a driver for every single stroke. Yeah, you might luck out and get a hole in one, but it’s more likely you’ll end up spending way too much effort for too little return. What matters is that you identify exactly which club best fits […]
