top1) What is WORKetc?

WORKetc is a collection of integrated software tools that provides small business with a powerful web-based system ready to improve workflow and management.  It automates key tasks and processes to help make your business more efficient - and an efficient business means less stress and more profits.

top2) Is WORKetc suitable for my business?

WORKetc is great for any service-based business, whether it is B2B or B2C, in any industry sector.  It is simple to use, easy to understand CRM, project management and billing software.  So if your business manages projects, sells a product or service to a customer, handles support request for customers and has 0 to 50 employees, WORKetc is a perfect fit.  Some of our customers include:

top3) How much is WORKetc?

WORKetc is priced per user, per month.  A single user is $29.95 per month.  Two users are $44.95 per month and then each additional user is only an extra $10 per month.  A user is an employee, owner or contractor who uses WORKetc to enter information such as timesheets, calendar events and sales leads.

WORKetc also lets your customers log in to view their accounts, support tickets and projects at no additional charge.  That's right, every WORKetc account includes unlimited customer contacts.

The monthly WORKetc subscription is all inclusive.  All software, including web based CRM, project management and billing is included.

top5) Can I buy the software outright? 

WORKetc is only available as a month-to-month subscription.

WORKetc is more than just software, it includes infrastructure to make it available online as well as backup solutions to ensure you never lose data. Additionally, the product is being constantly improved, allowing us to pass all improvements along to our subscribers - never pay for upgrades again.

This also means it can scale up and down with your business - meaning you don't get stuck paying for expensive software if need to downsize your business.  And adding new users takes less than a few minutes.

top6) Can I host WORKetc on my own server?

To make WORKetc as fast (and secure) as possible, meaning that you enjoy using the software more, we have customized our hosting environment to ensure WORKetc is not only fast but does not fail.  We prefer to look after all the hosting requirements for you, so that you just need to concentrate on building your business.  For this reason, WORKetc is only available on our servers or those provided by Partner resellers (we verify every partner's setup to ensure it meets our standards).

top4) Will WORKetc work in my country?

WORKetc includes 77 individual settings that allow you to customize it for your region.  As well as handling all known date and time formats, and currencies, it also supports complex tax systems and even invoices created with a mix of different currencies. 

WORKetc also includes a business literacy feature that lets you decide what language you use in your business.  For example,  you may call your "customers", clients, students, members, subscribers or any term you choose.

top5) Is it safe to put my business data online? 

I'm not comfortable with my business information sitting outside of my office!

WORKetc uses a similar level of security that is available when you do your banking online, including bank-strength secure certificates and firewall protection. If you’re comfortable doing Internet banking, you should be more the comfortable using WORKetc.

top7) I don’t what my employees seeing all the confidential details of my business.

WORKetc allows you to set different permissions for each employee or contractor. What this means is that you can limit certain employees to only viewing certain types of information. One employee might be able to access billing, while another can only access tasks and timesheets. You are in total control of what everyone else sees.

top8) How viable is WORKetc?  What if it closes down? 

What happens to my business information?

Aside from giving you the opportunity to export your data at any time, WORKetc is developing an escrow agreement that will make the software available free in the public domain in the event the business ever closes.  You can read more about this in our customer forums.

At WORKetc, we also believe your data will always belong to you.  At any time, you can simply download all your WORKetc business data to a single zipped file.

top9) Is the WORKetc software ever not available online? 

How much downtime does it experience? 

WORKetc has maintained a 99.98% uptime rate over the last 12 months.  In the next 12 months we are building out more redundant infrastructure to reach the goal of being able to guarantee 100% uptime.

top10) What if I want to cancel my free trial or change my subscription?

What if I need to add users or remove them?

Cancelling your free trial or account is as simple as selecting the "Cancel My Account" button from the settings menu.  Obviously, only the account administrator can cancel!

Like most small business, you'll probably go through stages of rapid growth and contraction (hopefully not too much contraction!)  WORKetc lets you easily add new users and turn off old users, meaning you're not stuck paying for software licenses that are not needed. 

top11) Will WORKetc replace my accounting software?


WORKetc does not replace accounting software, rather it works with your accounting software to give you more, real-time insight into how your business is functioning. Additionally it does a lot more than accounting software such as customer management, sales management, document sharing, appointment setting and online team collaboration.  Read this blog post for more information.

top12) How easy is it to get up and running with WORKetc?

We're so busy, we don't have the time to train our staff on how to use software that will save them time!

WORKetc has been designed with intuitiveness at front of mind.  Your staff should be able to simply login and start using the software right away. Every page includes a built-in quick reference guide, video manuals and access to community support forums.   If you get really stuck, email support is available and we aim to respond inside of a few hours.  In fact, we actually use WORKetc to help us manage, well WORKetc!

top13) How is WORKetc different to Salesforce, Basecamp and Microsoft CRM?

WORKetc outperforms these solutions as it was designed by small business owners, specifically for small business.  Unlike Salesforce and Microsoft CRM, WORKetc is perfect for the small business, with 0 to 20 employees.  And unlike Basecamp, WORKetc is a whole suite of tools.  This is how our customers see the difference between WORKetc and the other products:
